Dear Solomon Families--

Good evening, all. Just a few minutes ago city leadership shared that in-person learning is cancelled once again for tomorrow, Tuesday, February 2, and Wednesday, February 3, due to the on-going CPS-CTU negotiations. All students are asked to participate in remote learning tomorrow and Wednesday, and our remote learning schedule will continue to follow the same schedule as last week. We will not transition to any new schedules until we have students back in the building.

Getting ready for when students and staff are back in the building, I have shared (below) step-by-step directions to get your child(ren)'s health screener form sent directly to your phone each day when in-person learning resumes. Also, I shared this letter over the weekend regarding changes in school-wide procedures due to COVID-19.

In the meantime, please see below for some great news about two Solomon projects being included in our 39th Ward Participatory Budgeting ballot. Pre-registration is ongoing, and voting starts today! We need your votes to get our projects funded.

Please continue to follow the news and look for official updates from the district; I will send additional updates as more information is available.

Take care, and stay safe,

Chris Gamble
