Dear Solomon Families--
Good evening, all. A few minutes ago city leadership shared that in-person learning is again cancelled for tomorrow, Thursday, February 4, due to the on-going CPS-CTU negotiations. All students are asked to participate in the same remote learning schedule that we have followed this week.
As a reminder, Friday is a day of non-attendance for students. It is the end of the 2nd Quarter and a scheduled School Improvement Day.
A few items, as we prepare for our students' return:
- We are asking that students returning for in-person learning and their parents both complete "Cougar Pledges", in order to illustrate what we will need from everyone to have a successful re-entry. Please have your child return these (student and parent) on the first day of school.
- Below are step-by-step directions to get your child(ren)'s health screener form sent directly to your phone each day when in-person learning resumes.
This letter details changes in school-wide procedures due to COVID-19 for all in-person learners.
In the meantime, voting has started for the 39th Ward Participatory Budgeting ballot, which includes 2 Solomon projects. See below for more information.
Thank you, everyone, for your patience and understanding during this trying time.
Take care, and stay safe,
Hannah G. Solomon Elementary School
